2025-02-23 - If you are one of those whose goal is "running a dream", look no further. This is indeed the motto of the Napoli City Half Marathon, winding through many of the most beautiful streets of Naples (Unesco World Heritage) to finish on the grounds of the Overseas Exhibition originally showcasing businesses from the Italian colonies. The temperature is ideal (between 40 and 60 degrees) and the course is spectacular to say the least, touching places such as the Piazza del Plebiscito with the royal palace, Castel dell'Ovo (the oldest castle of the city), the Umberto I commercial gallery, the Maschio Angioino castle, and even the San Paolo soccer stadium. www.napolirunning.com |
2024-11-17 - The Reggia-Reggia is a half marathon scheduled in Caserta. It starts from the Royal Palace ("Reggia"), the former residence built for the Bourbon kings of Naples. It was the largest palace and one of the largest buildings erected in Europe during the 18th century. 2024-05-12 - The Amalfi-Positano Ultratrail is a 50k trail race with a cumulative elevation gain of about 4200 meters. Dubbed "The race that sees all but is not seen", it winds through paths, mule tracks, up and down steps, high up along the Coast going from Amalfi to Positano, part of the World Heritage List of Unesco. The time limit allowed for completing the total course of the race is 13 hours, and there will be a barrier at the 37.5 kilometer that must be crossed within 10 hours from the start. 2022-12-04 - Sorrento, Positano, the Amalfi Coast: for a runner in search of the perfect Italian running experience nothing beats the Coast to coast, Sorrento-Positano Marathon, a full 26-mile event, and a half too, starting from the birthplace of the "limoncello", the sweet liqueur traditionally made from the zest of the local Femminello St. Teresa lemons. 2019-08-25 - The Stracittadina cittą di Airola is held in Airola, between Napoli and Benevento. Airola is a small town founded before 997 aD. The course is a flat 5k (repeat it twice to run the longer event) with views of the castle ruins.
