2022-12-18 - The Invernalissima ("The Wintermost" run) will be held in Assisi, in the heart of the Umbria region. Assisi is the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order in the town in 1208. The event features a half marathon and a shorter 6.5k run.

2022-10-23 - Running through the archaeological site of Carsulae, the San Gemini-Carsulae-San Gemini is a competitive event in San Gemini, slightly longer than 10k. Located in Umbria, Carsulae is one of the most impressive ruins in Italy, dating back to 300 bC, in an area that had been heavily populated since the middle of the Bronze Age. Its bucolic setting, its large complex of mineralized thermal baths, theatres, temples and other public amenities, attracted wealthy and even middle class "tourists" from Rome.

2022-09-03 - Porta Nuova, Porta Cappuccini, Porta Perlici, Porta San Giacomo, Porta San Francesco, Porta San Pietro, and Porta Mojano: these the eight historic doors along the walls that protected Assisi. The 7k course of the Marcia delle otto porte allows the participants to run by all of them, in a fascinating night run that winds through the birthplace of St. Francis (who founded the Franciscan religious order in 1208) and of St. Chiara (the founder of the Poor Sisters).

2022-04-24 - The local running club organizes in Deruta, the run Per le vie della ceramica ("On the roads of the ceramic"). It is a 12k course with a shorter one (3.5k). Deruta is a hill town in the province of Perugia, in the Umbria region of central Italy. Long known as a center of refined maiolica manufacture, Deruta remains known for its ceramics, which are exported worldwide.

2017-07-08 - Introduced by the Roman legions during the expansion of the empire into the countries of the European continent, the "gnocchi" dumplings have been around for the past 2000 years. The Corri sul Nera in San Liberato di Narni, near Terni, is a 9k running event held within the local gnocchi festival. Not only runners will enjoy a panoramic course along the Nera river natural environment, but after crossing the finish line they will also be able to taste several gnocchi-based specialties.
